Why camping can feel like a vacation…

The way I see it, there are 2 types of people; those who enjoy camping and those who don’t. I have a friend that when I tell her we’re going camping she cringes because to her it sounds like a pure nightmare, but for me it can actually feel like a relaxing vacation (there was a day where I never would have thought this).

De-Cluttering with Kids

When people decide to move towards the minimalist lifestyle or even just de-clutter they usually feel pretty motivated and in the end pretty happy with the results. Many people with children really struggle with getting rid of the clutter when it comes to their kids.

Why there was no epic baby announcement…

Kristy: Many of you know my personality…when it comes to exciting times in life I’m all about making a big deal about it! I thrive on holiday crafts, with my son and his friends, I live for the time of year when I can start planning my son’s birthday party. I’ve even been known to get fun and creative with gifts; My husband and I have been married for years and one year for Valentine’s I knew he wanted a particular knife but who gets a knife for their husband on Valentine’s Day? Me. Yep, I do. But only when you can add a cute tag and ribbon that says “Valentine- I think you’re sharp!” I’m all about the “cuteness.”

YOLO Traveling

As a child my parents took me on quite a bit of vacations. We saw beautiful beaches and fun amusement parks. We made wonderful memories as a family and with some our friends we traveled with. I’ll never forget those special times.

Since being married and becoming a mom I’ve looked a little more in depth into the way we travel, specifically where we stay. In the past we always stayed in hotels. ALWAYS! In fact, I never really even thought about other options, besides the occasional cabin.

The Blueberry Muffin

Today is my son’s birthday. Since it’s his birthday he got to pick where we would go for dinner. He could pick anywhere and what does he choose? Cracker Barrel! You see he orders the same thing from Cracker Barrel every time, a blueberry muffin and an order of bacon. For the longest time he thought muffins were cupcakes so I’m pretty sure he feels like he’s eating dessert for his meal and with the way we eat he basically is.
