This past weekend we were on our way to pick up our tiny house trailer so we decided to visit the fun, quirky Asheville, NC on the way and spend 2 nights and 1 day to explore.
I spent hours on vrbo.com and airbnb.com trying to find the perfect place for this quick trip. When I stumbled upon “The Silver Babe” I became so excited! “The Silver Babe” is a 1975 Airstream.
We think our 1975 Silver Babe is pretty groovy!
With so many of her original features intact, she’s really a blast from the past and we’re excited to share her retro feel with you.
Not only was it a 1975 Airstream but it was decked out in 70’s decor. It was in walking distance to downtown Asheville and I was so excited when the owners agreed to let us stay in “The Silver Babe.”
I wish I could have video taped my son’s reaction when walking into the Airsteam. You would have thought we’d just rented out a gorgeous, fancy mansion. He was so excited! Staying in “The Silver Babe” was a great time and we made great memories. We walked to restaurants, chocolate shops, boutiques and even visited the local library. The space was small but it kept us close which is what our time away together is all about. I’m pretty confident that I will never forget this little getaway.
